Collection: SDVoE 10G Guide: Best High-Performance AV-over-IP Hubs
SDVoE (Software Defined Video over Ethernet) is a 10GbE AV-over-IP standard for sending uncompressed, zero-latency 4K video, audio, and control data over a standard network switch instead of a dedicated HDMI matrix.
An encoder at the source converts HDMI to a network signal, and a decoder at the display converts it back; a transceiver can act as either one, over copper or fiber depending on how far the run needs to go. Because it runs on standard Ethernet switches, an SDVoE system scales by adding switch ports rather than a larger matrix.
Use the guide below to find your piece: an encoder for each source, a decoder for each display, or a transceiver for a flexible copper/fiber run.
